Doctors without Boundaries. Telemedicine is the answer to all Dilemmas.

The year 2020 will be remembered as the coronavirus epidemic in the history of Humankind. Online medical advising of patients is growing very fast. Software companies are connecting patients and health care personnel together in a safe manner and look for innovative new ways. Lots of companies around the world are providing wide range of services to patients for virtual check-up, patients registration, Electronic Health Record, Payment integration, Health insurance integration, providing prescriptions, and
giving doctors easy access to medical records. Patients are also getting Tech savy and are using numerous IOT devices to keep Health Record and Health checks, and are subscribing to many Healthcare Service Providers.
For investors, the concern will be whether telemedicine businesses can sustain revenue growth after the lockdown is over and patients return to see their doctors in person: –

  • France-based Doctolib, has seen a number of video consultation spikes from 1,000 to 100,000 on a single day in just four weeks which started as a scheduling platform before offering online consulting services. And then by April 22, patients had booked 2.5 million consultations on Doctolib. French telehealth provider Doctolib has ranked among the world’s video-consulting services since the onset of the COVID-19 epidemic. 80% of patients and 74% of GPs would like to continue using the online counselling service after the epidemic ends.
  • February to 27 April. Sweden, Kry has seen a large growth of 163% of its markets.
  • In April, UK PushDoctor has increased the number of partnerships with NHS providers by 62%.

It will never replace physical counselling – however, it would represent between 15% and 20% of the activity of user physicians, as
in some Asian countries where practice is more common. It should be a tool available to physicians that enables them to monitor
their patients as a traditional health care route. Telemedicine’s popularity is increasing in this crisis.

  • Reduce health care costs.

Learning from COVID-19
Since the outbreak of COVID-19, primary care providers evaluate patients remotely, preventing the inflow of patients into clinics, reducing the likelihood of viral outbreaks. Patients with symptoms are sent to appropriate locations for evaluation or testing. For example, people with two or more COVID-19 symptoms – cough, shortness of breath, temperature of 100.4F and or more, and diarrhoea – who have certain chronic conditions or are over 60 years old, drive-through COVID-19. A visit to telemedicine also helps reassure patients who have minor colds and have symptoms that resemble the corona that do not require COVID-19 testing.
